What is Discord's role?

When people heard the voice of John De Lancie for the newly-introduced antagonist in season 2, Discord, the spirit of chaos, fans went nuts for him.

Since then, every episode with this draconequus is always known for being funny and having a ton of references to other medias.

In "Return to Harmony", he acts as the antagonist by hiding the elements of Harmony, trying to divide the mane 6 and turning Ponyville into Chaos Capital of the world, we all know how his plan turned out.

In "Keep Calm and Flutter On", Princess Celestia ask the Mane 6 to help reform Discord so he can use his powerful chaotic magic for good, and she believes Fluttershy will be the one who can reform him. Fluttershy thinks the best way to reform Discord is to befriend him, At the end, Discord does promise to use his powers for good (most of the times) because he treasures his friendship with Fluttershy, but not enough to not betray them when Tirek offer him freedom for an alliance, only for Tirek to betray him.

Since the elements of harmony are now returned to the tree of harmony, Equestria has lost one of their powerful defenses. Since the elements and the power of the tree is the only way to defeat Discord, it shows how powerful he is so it makes sense that Princess Celestia wants Discord to use his magic for good.

Discord can sense magical imbalances, transform and create things out of thin air and break reality itself.

He now stands as one of Equestria's strongest allies, seeing how she asked Discord to go after Tirek instead of Twilight.

That's his role in Equestria but what about in the show?

Twilight in the beginning refers to people who don't really care about friendship, as more of an antisocial person. Discord represents a different kind of person, he represents the kind of person who doesn't know much about friendship. It's not because he doesn't care, he doesn't understand how friendship fully works yet, he doesn't know what's okay and what's not when it comes to friendship, no episode shows this better than 'Make New Friends but Keep Discord'.

Discord gets green eyes of envy when he learns that Fluttershy has a new friend called Treehugger when she went to observe the breezies and that Fluttershy asked Treehugger to go to the Grand Galloping Gala with her instead of Discord.

Feeling like he has been replaced, he gets his ticket and goes to the gala with a sentinel green goo creature called the smooze to make Fluttershy feel jealous too.

But when things don't go his way, he tries to send Treehugger to another dimension so he can have Fluttershy's friendship to himself.

Eventually Fluttershy steps in and tells Discord it's normal to have more than one friend and have different friends for different things. People think that seems out of left field for Discord, seeing how he normally portrayed as smart and calm while playing somebody else, but they seem to forget he is new to friendship.

He doesn't understand that people can have different friends for different things, he is scared that he may be replaced so he becomes a little possessive towards Fluttershy. It may seem like a kid moral but there are people who are like him, most of them are children or teenagers that are shy and insecure about themselves and their friendships.

While this moral may seem useless to us, it could be a new way of seeing thing or a long-needed answer for those people.

Anyways, that's all for now, feel free to voice your thoughts and opinions.

See you next time.

My Random Thought: Cyberbullying

It's actually surprising how many of these happen because of things I see online, this one is no exception.

In this one, I was watching a video about cyberbullying. If you do not know what cyberbullying is, first of all, you are either bless in ignorance or you don't go online that much, and I ain't judging. Secondly, I'll tell you what it means, it means to be bullied online or through social media.

Now, as usual, the reason for this post isn't because of the video, it's because of the comments. There is an argument that someone had in the comments

There have been debates left and right thanks to this one comment. I feel lukewarm about this person's statement. Yes, some are easier to get away from than others, but that isn't the cure-all solution for it. There are many stages of cyberbullying so let's tear it down to simpler parts.

The mildest form is those strangers on forums or comments who just do it because they want to, they can be avoided by the supposed go-offline tactic or you can find a different website or server with better protection.

The toughest form is the one that could haunt you forever, it's from the people around you to the people you see everyday. You can't say that is nothing compared to physical bullying . (P.S. I am not undermining their pain, I know how hard it is to go through a life without a piece of mind)

Everyone knows that the scariest form of bullying isn't physical but emotional bullying, playing on fears and insecurities is the saddest and also one of the most lethal form. Now imagine if someone, anyone has dirt on you and they find you on wherever you go, people you know or see on a daily basis can access to this dirt thanks to this someone following you, you may never being able to escape. The worst part is that you may never know who that someone is and yet he has so much control over you.

If you know someone like this, don't let them feel alone and make sure they feel they're loved because you may regret it later on if you don't do it now.

Here is something to chew on, it's one of my favorite videos

See you next time.

5 shocking moments that happened in My Little Pony

My Little Pony has been recognized as a cartoon for little girls. While I think that that is not entirely true, it's a show for all ages and all who can accept it, it's still undeniable that the show is originally targeted for children so Hasbro can release their new pony play set. However, there have been moments where the whole 'made for kids' thing is questionable as some of these things while a little more cutified, are things I never even think would be on this show. So here are 5 shocking moments that happened in My Little Pony.

My Random Thoughts: Humanity and the trolls

Recently I discovered a YouTube channel that conducts social experiments, while people may think they're pranks. I don't think the people in the video should feel like they've been played, rather I hope the video makers say, "thanks for caring, no matter what, keep it up and have a great day."

But that's not why I'm talking about this, I'm talking about this because of one of the comments I saw.

I know what people say, "Don't feed the trolls", but this is a different case. some people in the comments for these kinds of videos aren't seeing the whole picture. I'm not trying to justify what the man in the video did but I can say that the other dude may have a point when he replies to that comment.

In a world we are see more new comments and posts than new faces, I think it's safe to assume that a lot of different people we haven't met yet, with their own backstories and worries. We keep worrying about humanity and what the future will become but why are worrying about the future if the present is already in a mess and no one gives a damn about it.

And for starters, we can start by stop cursing another person's life. He isn't a serial killer, he did made a small mistake. We can't see what is on his mind and we've all done it things we regret before, but hoping someone will die is a bit extreme, especially, when the other dude tried to reason with him (although the whole Osama Bin Laden thing is also a tad too far).

We can't judge someone entirely in one action or mistake, it's not fair to him. All I ask is maybe we can learn that if you can't see his side of the story, we can't determine if he is a bad person because humans aren't perfect but we can change for the better.

Anyways, feel free to voice your opinions or experiences with these things.

See you next time.

10 morals shown in My Little Pony

My Little Pony did a pretty good at presenting itself as a show for all ages and for all who can accept it, that's why I like this show. There are a lot of good morals shown in this show, some morals which I never expected it see in a show like this and here are 10 morals from My Little Pony that I think are great and handled maturely.

Take note that all these are in no particular order and how the episode presents the moral does affect what I think of it.

Is Running Man dropping in comedy?

Running Man is a South Korean variety show that is loved by many fans all over the world, as seen in their international episode and one of their more recent one, “Mission Worldwide” and if you're familiar with the show you could see why. The mission and games are enjoyable and fun to watch, the chemistry between the members is strong and heartwarming, their humor can be seen in every episode and my god, the nametag ripping!

Because of these, it's not surprising that its one of the most recognized shows for South Korea and thanks to my sister, these are the reasons I love watching this show again and again and the reasons I am writing about this. Some of the fans think that the comedy in the show lately has dropped like its rating, and with so the enjoyment of watching each episode. I will be the first to admit that each show has its weaker episodes and Running Man is not exception, but to say that the show in a whole has dropped, I'm not too sure about that.

Where is Season 5 heading?

With 5 seasons and still going pretty strong, even with a channel change, My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic manages to teach people that weirdly-coloured ponies can't stop a show with lovable characters, an interesting world and memorable stories with some mature morals. However with Twilight Sparkle becoming the Princess of Friendship with a purpose to spread Friendship across Equestria, the mane 6 becoming what fans call the council of Friendship and a slightly out-of-placed crystal castle, what else is there left for the MLP team to do?
