5 tips to be a good spy in Running Man

When the Running Man PD calls you into a secluded room, you know what happens next.

Spies are a very common role in Running Man, they add this extra layer of deceit in the mix and it can be fun to see how they outwit the other members or sometimes their own teammates. It is not too hard to be a spy on this show but it is really hard to be a GOOD spy. You need a lot of techniques and more than just a poker face. So today let's discuss some tips on how to be a good spy in Running Man.

1. You have to be agile and quick

This is one of the most common traits but since Running Man is already such a physically challenging show, you need to be on your toes at all times to stand a chance. Most spy missions have you eliminate the other members and sometimes your own 'teammates', even with tools to help, they're useless unless you're ready to get the jump on your target.

2. You have to be observant, adaptable and resourceful

Again, very common traits for any good spy. The point of a spy is to try and complete your own mission without alerting the others and you won't be able to do that if you don't check your corners before initiating. Sometimes things will happen that you didn't expect like someone showing up or almost catch you in the act, you have to be able to adapt very quickly and use what you have to complete the mission, this is often seen by the very first Running Man spy, Yoo-mes Bond.

3. You have to have a backup plan and be prepared for anything

As a spy, you have to be prepared for almost anything. This includes situations where your cover is in jeopardy. You have to do some quick thinking to get yourself out and put your target at ease. Make up a reasonable excuse for your actions or change the topic, for as gullible as they are, they catch on pretty quickly and they are not idiots. So watch your step and think fast.

4. You have to be ready to betray and manipulate

This is important, you will have to remember this to be a good spy. You and sometimes your fellow spies are your only teammates, everyone else is your enemy.

You have to be ready to use them to your advantage, like Kwang Soo's instinct to betray, their distrust towards each other or a (kind of) trust between you and your 'pact'.

You also have to be cruel and betray them, you can only be loyal to yourself in order to complete your mission behind their backs because apparently even your own spies mate may betray you if it means they win the mission.

5. You must not be afraid to get rough

Running Man is a brutal battlefield where most rules do not apply.

They're not afraid to cheat or rough house it to win so you have to double their passion and their motivation to beat theirs.

But remember this, even though in this case violence can be the answer, it should never go too far, you must still remain respectable and you must still respect the others as your co workers and friends.
