5 couples in Running Man

With the heat of the summer sun casting over us, it's pretty surprising we still get the sweet love from spring. Love is still going pretty strong and it's time to mention some of the sweetest pair ups Running Man has shown us. There are only 2 rules for this one. They have to be shipped together romantic-wise on the show, not just by the fandom or be an actual couple outside the show and they have to show signs of affection on the show.

5. Lee Kwang Soo and Yuri (Episode 16, 63 and 64)

This is a classic love tale of an superstar and her fan, Lee Kwang Soo became a total fanboy in front of his girl group idol, Yuri from SNSD (Girl's Generation).

It's pretty obvious that he has a crush on her as he is always shy around her. Even when he can't, he will try his hardest to push pass his limits to impress her.

It's kinda cute to see him act like this, just by being around her. Not like all the other girls who he had a episode-long lovelines, this one actually carried through multiple episodes and when SNSD and Yuri came back onto the show a second time, he actually seemed upset when Yuri didn't consider him as her first pick.

At least they get a pair of golden couple rings in the end

4. Kim Jong Kook and Moon Geun Young (Episode 114 and 115)

Kim Jong Kook was once the king of loveline since his X-Man days, while there are multiple lovelines he has on Running Man, but this one is my favourite.

Moon Geun Young is one of the best female guest I have seen, she has this sweet innocent face but she isn't afraid of getting down and dirty if she needs to.

The best part is how well she plays off the other members, especially when they're teasing her with Jong Kook.

She actually plays along with it but doesn't try to take advantage of his weakness for women to win.

When she called Jong Kook out for arm wrestling, everyone knew it was a joke and she actually tried and put in effort to beat him. When the two are paired up again for the next episode, they became an unstoppable hunting team. Not only did we get one of the most innocent lovelines on the show, we also get a strong female guest who won't go down without a fight.

3. Tiger JK & Mi Rae (Episode 59)

Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae were invited to Running Man as a part of their hip hop special and were assigned to the same team with Lee Kwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk as the black team.

But it seems that they woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something, because ever since the opening, they have been arguing on camera and standing on opposite sides of the spectrum,

and that's not the only thing keeping them from working as a team as the show soon shows that Tiger JK is a spy on their team along with Song Ji Hyo and HaHa on their own respective teams.

As the show go on so do their arguing with little compromise, but the beauty of this episode and this couple is at the end, as the spy team is tasked to eliminate every other member to win, that includes his wife Mi Rae. He asked that his spy teammates leave his wife till the end, protecting his wife.

As the eliminated members soon realised that Mi Rae was the last one left, Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo knew firsthand how much they have been up in each other's throats since they were parts of their team and they were worried about how Mi Rae will take it, her husband being a spy. At the end, JK and his fellow spies let Mi Rae slowly realised the truth and was obviously flustered and upset about being betrayed like this.

As a compromise, JK and Mi Rae agreed to eliminate each other in an embrace and the episode ends with a sweet little kiss. Now tell me that isn't one of the sweetest things you've ever seen.

2. Kang Gary and Song Ji Hyo (Monday Couple) (Since Episode 14)

Ahh, Running Man's iconic loveline. To think this may have never happened because Ji Hyo wasn't shipped with Gary originally so it was pretty awkward at first when the two are together

but though some pretty cutesy sweet moments, it shows that Gary will help her in anyway possible even if they're on opposite teams.

They have had romantic moments together and ever since episode 14 when they were given the name Monday Couple, they have been working together up until the "breakup" due to Song Ji Hyo actually getting a boyfriend. Even then, Gary wanted Monday Couple to return sometimes and so do the fans.

1. Haha and Byul (Episode 251)

They only have one episode together and yet they have the strongest chemistry on the show to date. Maybe it's because we know one of Haha's famous persona, Casanova Haroro.

Out of all the last loves that he had, who would think that Byul would truly be his last and only love.

Their love is undeniable as seen in this episode, one of the 3 weakest members suddenly gains the strength to fight for his wife and their victory, even outlasting the 5 years of "love" from the Monday Couple.

Byul surprisingly is very strong on her own.

As a mother and a wife, she has the strength from her husband and their son, Dream, even willing to share some of that strength with Haha.

All their hardwork and determination throughout the day has led up to their final mission, Telepathy elevator. They have to pick a floor from 10 out of 32 floors and both meet each other halfway, both figuratively and literally.

This is a special moment because I can't think of anyone on the show, like them, they have a special connection that only time spent together and true love can create (I know this is sappy, but I'm gonna do it anyways).

Watching the other members hope for their win is so sweet and their smiles on their faces when the two do meet up just makes the moment, I don't care if it's fake or not, this is the one of the sweetest moments on the show.

That's all for now, may you find sweet romances that last through this steamy hot summer. As usual, feel free to voice your thoughts and opinions.

See you next time.
