Running Man and the Dream Cup

Last week, the Running Man's dreams were once again placed on the soccer field after Park Ji Sung has invited them to another charity soccer match in Shanghai, the same exact stadium they played in 3 years ago.

But will their dreams of scoring ever come true? And more importantly, is this worthy of an episode?

Now let me start by stating this, I like this episode and it's nice to see Park Ji Sung and Jung Dae Sae again but the soccer aspect of this episode is iffy to say the least.

First of all, yes, the members are relatively quick on their feet and strong in terms of strategies and wit but that's all for games and nametag eliminations, not for soccer.

Secondly, this is an episode of Running Man and yet it feels more like watching the sports channel, hell, the sportscasters at the end of the match made fun of this. It's not uncommon for Running Man to have little to no mini-games but with the soccer aspect of it, we feel like we should be taking this as seriously as they are taking it, maybe it's just me but when they trip up, I don't think it's funny.

But the biggest problem is that they choke up so badly under pressure, I don't blame them for us as anyone would but with so much passion and hope dashed away by a mistake, it can be painful to watch. I just felt so sorry for them.

But on the bright side, this time was Suk Jin's time to shine, watching him almost make that goal was amazing, not to mention the closest one to actually getting a goal.

Of course, I'm not downgrading this episode by any mean, but if they want to do another one regarding soccer, it might not be the best idea unless it's like how they did with their super baseball matches where seriousness is thrown out the window.

That's all for now, hopefully this week's time traveling plot has more to offer. Feel free to voice your thoughts and opinions.

See you next time.
